Slumdog bags more international awards

Danny Boyle’s acclaimed motion picture SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE took home more industry awards over the weekend.  Here is an update:

- Tied with WALL•E for the Best Picture award from the Boston Society of Film Critics.  Also won the Best Editing prize.

- Won 3 Satellite Awards including Best Picture - Drama.  Also won Best Director for Danny Boyle and Best Score for A.R. Rahman.

- Won 4 EDA Awards from the Alliance of Women Film Journalists including Best Film and Best Direction.

- Named as one of the Top 10 films of 2008 by Associated Press movie writer David Germain, ranking at number 4.

After playing in limited release for five weeks, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE will now expand to 500 theaters in all major cities across North America this Friday, December 19.
