I get the modeling stint at the Fashion for Relief fundraiser but movies? Maybe we need to have a serious chat with Mr Vikram Chatwal for bringing this monstrosity to town….He has clearly taken this Naomi mela to a whole new level…

I’ve met the guy here & there, mostly spotted him at his Hotel where the concierge usually volunteers PR bites such as “Naomi (w-h-a-t) and Kate (Moss) hang out at the roof-top bar all the time, you should check it out”…Isn’t that just absurd (and too much info) ..I mean why would I care if a female supermodel is hanging out? Not like George Clooney or Akshay Kumar or Neil Nitin Mukesh hang out there…

Another time this Naomi factor showed up was at the launch of his overhyped Deepak Chopra lounge at the DREAM hotel in NYC. SRK made an appearance as guest of honor. This was when Karan Johar shot the one of his dramatic “Kabhi”something movies with Preity, Abhishek, Rani, SRK in New York…I bumped into Johar on 71st and Madison Avenue one evening and he was all hyped up about the Deepak Chopra lounge… Not my cup of tea, that lounge but Naomi did make an appearance there too if memory serves me right.

Apart from the Naomi Campbell walking for “Mai Mumbai”, how Vikram is connected to fashion, I know not… Doesn’t he have other celeb friends he could show off? Maybe next time bring buddy P Diddy to town? Why does he have to go ahead & unleash this 6 feet of a nuisance onto Bollyland??? …Frankly watching Naomi Campbell in a Hindi flick is a thought worse than Shiney Ahuja signing a deal with Val Kilmer (as reported by Mumbai Times today)… Please!! This obsession with the ill-tempered model of yesteryears HAS GOT TO STOP.…and I seldom say “please”…
