So here are my tips Pour Homme, since a lot of my friends on Facebook have requested me to write a Do’s and Don’t’s on Fashion for Men. Which reminds me, please do join me on the AVS Facebook Group… Gotta say, I do love reading the Men’s Vogue at the Gym while working out and there is something about a well dressed man that even a whole tub of Ben & Jerry’s (my 2 favorite men) can’t make up for…. LOL…

So here’s the Do: Many of my friends are getting married this summer, all over, ranging from the Hamptons, NY … Melbourne, Australia… Bavaria, Germany….and finally to New Delhi, Desi-land … and Yes, I am going to each one of them!! Jealous?? Haha… Anyways, regardless of the summer heat I think the one thing men ought to wear at a wedding is a sherwani and if not, then a Nehru jacket with jeans will make do! This year at Lakme Fashion week, I spotted the perfect look that will work on men for a wedding in summer (or winters)! Thanks to Rohit Bal of course. Arjun Rampal and Karan Johar are good show stoppers but I think this is look will always be in style… And check out at Abhishek Bachchan in a JJ Valaya …  so definitely A-DO at the I-DO (haha!)

Now for the Don’t… 1) Speaking of sherwanis, heres a big DONT - The one crore sherwani with diamonds by Reshma and Riyaz Gangji of Libas Stores as seen on the Mumbai Times Front Page (April 23, 2009)  … PLEASE never try this, unless you are a Maharaja of sorts, and even…  then its a bit tacky! 2) I saw Abhishek Bachchan sporting Pa’s face on a t-shirt…Dude, this family loves promoting each other which is cool, until you sport your fathers face when you could be sporting t-shirts that might send a much-needed-positive-social-message across to billions of impressionable fans??? THEREFORE this Big B propaganda Tshirt is a big NO according to Me.

Back to an Absolute Do: Well, Definitely sport one of those “Being Human” tees. And Salman Khan does exactly that i.e. the respectable thing to do!! His NGO “Being Human” sells t-shirts and these funds are sent all over to help the needy. In fact Salman is also painting and those funds are being used for the same!!
