He is the one we all look up to; a figure that feeds us, guides us, loves us and protects us, Daddy dearest is the one man in all our lives who puts all his belief and faith in us. Happy Fathers Day Y’all.… I’m taking you through MY FAV PAPA moments in BollyLand….

So here’s a look at some of the Daddy Coolests we’ve seen in our movies….(make sure you see the vids at the end… they are RIDICULOUS!! LOL)…
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak: ….And the first one that comes to mind is Amir Khan’s father in QSQT (1988). Papa Kehte Hai went on to become a national rage and every time our fathers look at us with sky high expectations, there is a son out there who has no idea what he wants to do in life…Doesn’t matter what he chooses but one thing is for sure, We can always count on papa’s support!
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai: When she’s not around to soak in our worries or provide maternal love and we miss mom the most, its amazing to see how nature has provided our dads with not only paternal instincts but also maternal ones. Papa not only loves us like a mom but also has that softness in his eyes like Shah Rukh Khan in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). SRK is probably one of those heroes in B-town who has proved that it is OK for men to be in touch with their feelings especially when it comes to fatherhood. Whether its appearing on his daughter’s favorite TV show and saying he misses her or becoming child-like with his daughter at summer camp, we all connect with this father-daughter moment
Sholay: Now to my MOST FAV Dialgoue!! …. When I say Sholay, you are probably thinking, why is that so relevant for fathers except for every father out there must have loved the film at some point and time. However, when Thakur kills the blind Imaam Saab’s son, this father makes a statement so intense that this is probably one of those rare moments in Bollywood expressing a father’s loss… “Jaante ho duniya mein sabse bada bojh kya hota hai… Baap ke kandhe par bete ka janaaza!”.…… They don’t make these anymore ![]()

Daddy: Our Father is always the strong one, the breadwinner…But Sometimes life takes on a u-turn and fathers need some nurturing…. Sometimes life throws them offtrack, sometimes life isn’t all rosey for fathers… and just like how fathers show love for children, sometimes theres a role reversal… that’s when we children step it up..

Similarly, Fardeen Khan recently devoted 2 whole years of his life in service of late father Feroz Khan which not only speaks highly of celebrity sons but also good upbringing that all of us identify with!

Andha Kanoon: The sight of this Father teaching his daughter how to go through life is soo heart warming… mothers may nurture us its really the dads who teach us to br practical and no matter what cards we are dealt, always play the game of poker in life with a smile on our face…
Hero No 1: Govinda & Kader Khan. There comes a time when daddy dearest will do anything it takes for his son’s happiness. From Rich Dad to Poor Dad… Kader Khan goes from a multi millionaire father upset with his useless son to donning the role of a watchman so that his son can obtain his dreamgirl… And we hope that even though desperate times call for desperate measures, whatever adventures we take on with our dads, they will be as memorable as this one
Bunty Aur Bubby: Amitabh bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan …PLUS Ashwarya Rai Bachchan…
Enough Said…

And now for some RIDICULOUSLY funny DAD Moments….
In-order-of-ridiculosity!!!
My Countdown begins with Jumping Jack Jeetu …. This song is a “LOL”
At Number 3: I think Anupam Kher is one of the best Papas in Bolly Land….
At 2: And Amrish Puri is the best “BAOJI” … this scene is sooo cute…
And THIS ONE, I CANNOT FORGET

Whether it is Basket Ball or Base Ball or good ol Cricket, we know our hero on the field is Dad! And when it comes to our young adults, grabbing a chilled beer with daddy coolest while watching the IPL sounds like a great Wednesday evening!
Directv, bringing you the latest in south asian programs especially Cricket for those precious father-son moments to be cherished and encourage that very special strong bond!
Happy Fathers Day…. Make sure U tell Dad U love him!!…. xoxo

Some fantastic moments are revisited out in this article. These “Daddy” moments are for sure nostalgic. Even though all of them are cinematic but their essence is so real to the “T” for any real time Father-Son / Father-Daughter. Commendable job by the writer. Keep up the good work while i go and hug my father :o)
