On January 27th, the much awaited indie drama The Hangman premiers in Mumbai and releases on January 29th, playing in metros throughout Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Banglore and Calcutta.

The three main actors of the film (Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade and Gulshan Grover) will be attending the event. It will be a night full of celebration as not only the cast and crew come together to kick off The Hangman’s release, but because it is also Talpade’s birthday! The Hangman is Talpade’s first feature film, and since then he has acted in great hits like Om Shanti Om and Iqbal.

Producing a film in India, while being based in the US was obviously a huge undertaking for NRI producer Bipin Patel, who is extremely excited to see this day. He told AVS reporters, “It’s a beautiful story about hope and redemption. And there is a surprise element within the ending of the film, which EVERYONE must see!”

 The film will be premiering in New York City in February, followed by a release in the US.
