Iconic Dev Anand’s family are planning a sombre Christmas and New Year with just a few family members and friends around, Anil Kapoor and his extended family have organised a quiet dinner. This, despite Christmas Eve being the ’MI4′ star’s birthday (December 24). The reason behind the quiet day is the demise of Boney and Anil Kapoor’s father, Surinder Kapoor. The seasoned producer had passed away this September, given which Anil has cancelled all his birthday plans. Daughter actor Sonam Kapoor confirmed the news in a TV show. She said, “Dad’s birthday was always a lavish affair because it also marked the beginning of Christmas celebration in the family. But now it will be a quiet affair.” However, Sonam does divulge about a dinner planned by her and her sister Rhea for dad Anil Kapoor. And that they plan to go ahead with it.
