He is the grand face of Indian cinema, while the other is India’s face at the grand theatre of cinema. He has outlived most of his contemporaries and is still giving good competition to heroes his son’s age, his movies have been a benchmark in filmmaking. And yet the twain – Amitabh Bachchan and Shekhar Kapur — have never worked together, until recently that is. Thanks to the commercial of a car company, which has Big B as their brand ambassador, finally ‘Elizabeth’ director got to direct yesteryear’s angry young man in a commercial.

And while it doesn’t really equate to a film, the commercial has turned both Amitabh and Shekar into ardent admirers of each other. Understandably so, after all it’s a 20 year old wish coming true!
