There was a time when John Abraham made news for the wrong reasons. The good looking model was impulsive and wore his heart on his sleeves. But things seem to have changed recently. Call it the effect of a breakup or lessons from experience, the original ‘Desi Boy’ has learned how to be more in control – whether it’s about his personal life or films. Says the former model, “I have decided to keep my personal life, personal. I‘m known to invite trouble unknowingly, but then I preferred living on the edge and also believed in taking chances. Whatever decisions I took for my films and for myself were mine, and still are. What’s changed is the impulsiveness. I think before saying or doing things.” But that’s not the only change one would notice in the new John. The actor has a different way of handling criticism these days, “I have been criticised for my work but that does not matter for me unless it gives me that extra impetus to improve. Being in this profession I need to constantly improve and innovate.” Certainly his days of experiments are over.
