It started out as a one time comedy flick directed by Rohit Shetty with an ensemble of stars that included Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi. But in the past six years with two successful sequels, ‘Golmaal’ isn’t just a film but a ritual that comes every Diwali. But NOT in 2012! Director Rohit has decided to give ‘Golmaal 4’ a break for two of his other projects – ‘Bol Bachchan’ and ‘All The Best 2’. And while the reason for this miss isn’t really clear, sources say that it is also because of the lead cast is busy with their own respective projects, especially Ajay Devgn who is currently working on his 2012 big release ‘Son of Sardar’.
But there seems to be another more grounded explanation for the skip – there is no script for the next series. Rohit still has to finalise a writer and of course the sub cast. And given that these things take time, it was best for the director to delay the film. But fret not, the ‘Golmaal 4’ plans are alive and kicking and it could pop up in theaters in 2013.
