AVS TV Network in association with Silk Angels Group & Ariz inc. organized a meet and greet party with actor Imran Khan. It was an unforgettable evening for New Yorkers as hundreds of fans screamed at the top of their lungs when the young star walked through the crowd and onto the stage at Pranna restaurant in Manhattan.
Imran had flown into New York city that morning to promote his upcoming film ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ co-starring Kareena Kapoor. After anxiously awaiting his arrival, the crowd went berserk at the first sight of the star and mobbed him for autographs, pictures or for that matter, a hand shake and a quick hello. It became a Herculean task for security to control the crowd, but one must commend Imran for smiling through it all.
Once on stage, Imran addressed the crowd and answered many of their questions. Fans later participated in a Q&A trivia session where winners were presented with free tickets to “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu” handed over by Imran himself. There was sheer excitement as many of his fans - male and female alike, managed to get a photograph or two amidst the mass hysteria, as he made his exit.
It’s obvious Imran’s popularity has soared thanks to recent hits like “Delhi Belly” & “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan”. And this is not just true In India! After witnessing Sunday night’s utter craze amongst fans, it’s confirmed that Imran Khan’s popularity has surged overseas as well.
Apart from diehard fans, also seen at the event were local VIP’s and well-known personalities from the movie and Entertainment industry. “Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu” produced by Dharma Productions and UTV releases February 10th in cinemas around the world.
