One would think that an actor who is having a rough time securing films, wouldn’t dare opt out of one. Not Shahid Kapoor. The actor who got Puneet Malhotra’s next after actor Imran Khan walked out of the project seems to have followed the ‘Kidnap’ actor’s lead and dumped the Dharma Productions project too. The ‘Kaminey’ hero is said to have signed Maneesh Sharma’s yet untitled film, which is being produced under the YRF banner. While a hurt Karan has kept mum about situation, Shahid has cited date issues as the reason for leaving. The actor has admitted to a certain daily that while he wanted to do both the films, date clashes made it impossible to do so. Thus, he had to opt out.

Well, a wise decision is all we can say. Except now Maneesh isn’t keeping well and there are talks about co-star Sonam Kapoor walking out of that film too, leading to a further delay. As far as Karan goes, Shahid has confirmed that they will be working on a new film soon.
