Singer Sonu Nigam has sung for many hit films and composers, but this would be the first time that the seasoned singer will pair up with tabla maestro Bickram Ghosh to compose music for not one, but two films. One being Girish Malik’s ‘Jal’ and the other is Shekhar Ghosh’s ‘Sooper Se Ooper’. The reason for the two famous names of the music world coming together is the paradigm shift in the way the films are perceived now. Or as Sonu puts it, “Today’s film doesn’t have the earlier ‘filmipana’, which makes composing new music interesting.”
Interestingly, Sonu and Bickram’s friendship dates back to the time of ‘Gumshuda’. Sonu had sung the song ‘Dhundo’, which Bickram had composed.
