Iranian band Barobax Corp claim that Pritam’s popular ‘Pungi Bajaa Kar’ track for ‘Agent Vinod’ is lifted from their original composition ‘Soosan Khanoom’. However, both the composer and the film’s producers have rubbished the allegations. Pritam believes the band is looking for some attention and nothing more: “The tune of ‘Pungi’ is completely different from the other tune. If you listen carefully to both songs, you will realise that they are different. People just try to get a shortcut to fame.” The producers Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan have issued a legal statement denying the infringement of copyright and saying that they would resort to legal action to deal with the matter if needed.
