Rohit Shetty seems to have made up his mind regarding the female lead for ‘Chennai Express’. We are told Deepika Padukone will star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in this romantic film that tracks a man’s journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram. Kareena Kapoor, who was, reportedly, Rohit’s first choice has not been able to clear up her calendar for the film since she is busy with ‘Heroine’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next. Kareena’s loss may well be Deepika’s gain. Deepika who made her debut opposite the Badshah Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’ will be hoping that this film will give her career the boost it needs.
