For UTV, it’s a bit like juggling. Anurag Basu’s Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘Barfi’ is not ready yet and Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ starring Akshay Kumar is ready. So, what’s to be done? Switch release dates, of course. UTV is producing both films and can, therefore, switch dates. We hear that Anurag’s ‘Barfi’ which was to have been released on July 27 will now be released on August 31, the date originally reserved for ‘Joker’. Apparently, ‘Barfi’ has one more shooting schedule left to complete and there’s post production work pending thereafter, which is why the delay. What this means is that we’ll see Akshay and Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Rowdy Rathore’ in June and again in ‘Joker’ in July.
