Although she was a part of the TV serial ‘Hum Paanch’, Vidya Balan’s film roles thus far have been gritty, realistic, and not very funny. So, it’s not surprising that she’s feeling the butterflies in her tummy as she prepares to shoot ‘Ghanchakkar’ with Emraan Hashmi. The success of ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’ can’t have helped either as she probably feels the weight of expectations even more now. Interestingly, this is director Rajkumar Gupta’s first foray into the comedy genre as well; his previous projects were ‘Aamir’ and ‘No One Killed Jessica’. Hopefully, the fact that Vidya has worked with both Emraan and Rajkumar earlier will help ease her nerves and we’ll have another cinematic treat.
