Initial collections for ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’, while not dazzling exactly, have not been disappointing. The movie stars Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani and boasts a lavni number by Vidya Balan as an item song equivalent. It is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, whose last film was the hugely popular ‘3 Idiots’. The film, which offers Sharman a solo starring role, has garnered mixed reviews from critics with most appreciating the story but bemoaning the lack of a certain ‘punch’ to the tale. Family audiences making their way to see the story of a father attempting to fulfill his son’s wish of playing at Lord’s will probably boost the weekend collection numbers a little.
