Weight matters! At least in the glitzy world of Bollywood it does as is evident from the seemingly public debate on the issue. On one end of the spectrum is Abhishek Bachchan, who has spoken out against the criticism of wife Aishwarya Rai’s post-partum weight gain, deriding the insensitivity shown. At the other end is Kareena Kapoor, who has attracted attention by declaring that anyone who claims fat is sexy is ‘talking crap’. Kareena’s comment comes as the success of ‘The Dirty Picture’ has suddenly made Vidya Balan’s ample curves sexy. Kareena agrees that ‘voluptuous is sexy’, but she claims ‘fat is not’. Well, that’s one salvo fired; let’s see who comes back and with what, in retaliation. Let the games begin.
