Rajnikanth fans had been promised a Diwali release of ‘Kochadaiyaan’, the south Indian superstar’s first release in two years. However, reports suggested that the release was postponed because the filmmakers wanted to avoid a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s as yet untitled venture with Yash Chopra and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardar’. The last we heard ‘Kochadaiyaan’ was to be released on December 12. However, here’s some bad news for Rajni’s team. Salman Khan’s eagerly awaited sequel ‘Dabangg 2′ will release on December 21, giving ‘Kochadaiyaan’ less than a week’s clear run at the box office. We wonder if either of the two will consider changing release dates now.
