It’s probably because Sanjay Leela Bhansali is preparing to don the director’s cap after two years that everyone is now speculating about his dream project, ‘Bajirao Mastani’. Originally, Sanjay had hoped to cast his ’Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ lead pair Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai in his film about the Maratha Peshwa and his Muslim wife, but that obviously didn’t work out. Latest rumors suggest that Sanjay might now opt for his other ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ hero Ajay Devgn to play Peshwa Bajirao. Ajay has been quietly and steadily making his way into the Bollywood A-listers club with the ‘Golmaal’ franchise, ‘Singham’ and ‘Bol Bachchan’. His upcoming films include ‘Son of Sardar’ and the ‘Himmatwala’ remake.
