DJ Sheizwood attacks Salman Khan

To interfere is every producer, director and superstar’s birthright in b-town. This has been the unsaid rule of working in Bollywood for ages. And yet every time there is a certain crossover artist, this very rule finds mention in the press again. The rule’s not-so-recent victim is the well known DJ Sheizwood. And the evil superstar causing the pain is none other than actor Salman Khan. The actor has recently developed a reputation of not only feeding his co-star with homemade dabba (biryanis and such), but in case of his own home production taking part in every aspect of the filmmaking. And it is this attitude of the star that seems to be a problem for Sheizwood. DJ in fact admits that the reason he has never taken up any offer is Salman Khan.

“What many people do not know is that a few years ago, I tried composing for a Salman starrer, but got peeved off by his constant interference. Salman despite of having no knowledge about music wanted to have a say on everything I did. It was so bad that I had to leave the project midway.” But that’s not the only thing that the DJ rues about. Apparently, Sheizwood also belittles the actor for his behaviour. “He talks as if he is the know it all, and we are mere slaves.”

Well Sheizwood, that’s not what we hear about the superstar from others. Salman is known to be a teamplayer and if he does give input, it’s always to better the project he’s working on.

Bilz Music sign new Canadian artist ‘Drega’

Canadian based production house, Bilz Music is proud to announce their latest artist signing, Drega, to their roster. Bilz Music is known for housing and nurturing North America’s most wanted pop group, The Bilz & Kashif, and has earned tremendous success from their signing, with over 13 million video views to date, multiple music awards and headlining close to 50 U.S dates and several international cities on Tour. The new addition, Drega, came after keeping a close eye to artists in North America who have been working on their independent craft. “I’m always looking to work with fresh new artists in the game. Mixtape born Toronto native artist, Drega broke into the scene when he featured on The Bilz & Kashif’s hit single “O Meri Rani (Spanish Fly)”, and other street remixes like “Nothing But a Loser”, “This is Why we Hot”, “Candy Girl” and his last album “Man of the Year” that has been gaining traction on its own with over 50,000 downloads to date. “I noticed Drega had what the game was missing. He continuously evolved as an artist by working on his craft with various mixtape releases. I think he has found himself now, and I just couldn’t pass on the opportunity to give him the chance he needs” says Vishal. “He just keeps hustling and that’s what I love in any artist in the game.” Drega mentions: “The thing that made me want to work with Bilz Music is that they are innovators and are able to use their creativity to make history. Look at how much they have changed the scene since when they came out. A lot of acts today owe it to The Bilz & Kashif for taking risks and setting standards.”

Bilz Music plans to release Drega’s brand new album – “Let’s Go Nice” in the first quarter of 2012, and promises a strong note of the current state of hip hop’s fusion right now. In addition, 2 international video singles will be released worldwide once the album release date will be announced. “My goal with signing to Bilz Music is to change the status quo. I want people to question what they think a normal rapper should look, sound, and act like. I want to show people you can’t generalize anyone, especially us young people. We’re all complex. Akki beats SRK for ‘Kolaveri’ remake rights

The professional rivalry between actors SRK and Akshay Kumar is nothing new. But this incident goes simply to prove that both actors take even their differences rather professionally. In what can be called their first out of stage and award function ‘takkar’, Akshay has gone and bought the remake rights to Rajnikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush’s ‘Kolaveri Di’. Given the song’s popularity, over two million hits within a month on a video sharing site, Shah Rukh Khan was also thinking of buying the song’s right. But by the time the Badshah approached megastar Rajnikanth to talk about the deal, the Khiladi had already closed it. SRK though felt the pinch of moving a tad late, took the loss in his stride. Well, as they say all is fair in the game of war.

Sa Re Ga Ma is proud to release the single AAJA SAJANA featuring internationally known singer/songwriter G-Deep and India based Music producer Phoenyx. Aaja Sajana is featured on Phoenyx-Phase 1 album which was recently launched and is available for download on iTunes.

This is the first time that a fusion of folk-sufi vocals mixed with electronic dubstep sound is introduced in India. The album concentrates greatly on electronic and dubstep sound, the union of Punjabi and hindi vocals amalgamate flawlessly with the heavy electronic sound. RAJE SHWARI PERFORMS AT BROOKLYN BOWL

Friday, November 11 marked yet another stellar DJ Rekha event launching Beat Bazaar Music and Raje Shwari was there to perform for the prestigious event. With her dancers and dhol player all lined up, Rajé performed songs new and old at Brooklyn Bowl.

“It was truly an honor and pleasure to support a pioneer like DJ Rekha, I wish her the best with her label Beat Bazaar Music. The crowd was really receptive and enjoyed my performance which was a great feeling because I showcased music from my own label Bollyhood Records. This was truly the highlight for me.” Rajé says as she reflects on the evening.

Rajé Shwari has been busy working in the studio on new music and is ready to make her solo debut in 2012. Rajé’s debut album I’m Famous in Bollyhood is due out in the first half of next year complete with singles, videos, and exclusive free downloads of unreleased music for her fans starting now with “Average Bitch” featuring H-Dhami. Raghav Is On ‘Top Of the World’

Raghav’s fire continues to burn bright with the release of his next smash hit, ‘Top Of The World.’ The third single to release off his forthcoming album, The Phoenix, the new track is already heating up radio air waves in Canada. “Top of the World” is available for purchase on iTunes on November 21st for North America and world wide and on November 28th for the UK.

“Top of the World” is a club inspired track produced by Sunset Entertainment’s Jim Beanz. Raghav created this track as a way to share his current state of mind with his fans. After spending 32 weeks in the top 20 at Canadian radio, his last hit single, “Fire,” achieved gold record status. About his collaboration with Beanz, Raghav says, “Jim [Beanz] and I got in the studio and created ‘Fire’ together which was a monstrous hit across Canada. I stuck with a winner and went back in with Jim and out came ‘Top Of The World.’ My fans are going to love this one as it is a continuation of my musical aesthetic that people are relating too.”

Rasshee Rraga ready to release ‘Dil Mangda’

If you haven’t heard of Rasshee Rraga yet, well, get used to the name. This young, talented singer is ready to take over the music industry. With her cute looks, unforgettable curly hair and a voice like a Bollywood playback singer Rasshee is ready to present her second single ‘Dil Mangda’ produced my musical legend Aman Hayer.

Rasshee’s first single ‘’Yaad’’ which was also produced by Aman Hayer was a super hit across the UK which quickly led this young star to perform at some of the UK’s largest music events in 2010. Rasshee is the daughter of Pandit Kailash Pawar, the renowned Sitarist (Sitar player) in the field of Indian classical music and the Bollywood film industry and Raveena Jeet Kaur, (an Indian classical vocalist from ‘All India Radio, Delhi’).

Pandit Kailash Pawar was the son of Pandit Pusha Lal Pawar, who was the Sitar Guru of Maharaja Hanumant Singhji of Jodhpur, Rajasthan and his sister Baiji Lal. The majority of Sitar pieces you hear in Bollywood films from the period of 1953-1985 are played by Rasshee’s father. He was also the conductor of India’s national orchestra.

Rasshee hails from not only an amazingly talented musical family but has also represented London in Sa re ga ma pa 2008 where she was flown to Mumbai to take part in the international talent show.

Rasshee has also featured on many catchy tunes you may know from giving her voice to ‘Baba Veh’ with Bee2 and ‘Taare’ featuring Rasshee Rraga and Gurpreet Brar to name a few.
